Hello! Welcome to General Science 9 (GS9), taught by me, Mr. Wallace! I'm very excited to be exploring my favorite science content, Earth and Space Science, with you this year.
What Mr. Wallace has heard from students, "I'm just not good at science." This statement begs the question, "Do you understand what science is?" Science is a small word from which an innumerable amount of concepts, ideas and questions cascade from. SCIENCE IS A HUGE BODY OF KNOWLEDGE AND A NEVER ENDING PROCESS THAT MAINTAINS AND GROWS OUR KNOWLEDGE OF EVERYTHING IN THE UNIVERSE! Phew, that's intimidating! How could anyone be "good" at that? Maybe we should try to gain a better understanding of science before making any conclusions as to whether we are "good" at it or not :) What is Science??
